Jungle Clam Shell quilt

This lovely is 34x43 inches. It is a clam shell design with a stripped pieced border. Colors are black, dark green and purple.  It is hand quilted in black thread. Date on the back is 1989. The back is a tropical print, very bright.

Apparently I was drawn to jungles and critters way back then. It made it into a quilt show once and has spent the rest of the time tucked away in the closet.

Notice there are a few areas where the design "bleeds" over to a solid colored clam shell.  Look for a butterfly, lizard, calla lily.

A sleeve is on the back, already to run a rod thru for hanging.
